An intimate winter gathering for rest, reflection, and renewal.

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. It is the turning point when light begins its slow return to the northern hemisphere.
Across centuries and cultures, people have honored this moment with feasts, music, candles, and fire — rituals that remind us that even in deep darkness, renewal is already on its way.
In the Celtic Wheel of the Year, the Solstice marks Yule, a season of stillness, renewal, and hope. In Nordic tradition, this same spirit is called hygge, the practice of cultivating comfort, connection, and contentment through simple, meaningful moments shared with others.
This evening is inspired by both traditions, offering a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience the warmth of gathering with like-minded women. As the light begins its return, we come together to rest, move gently, and create, honoring both our inner light and the power of connection in this reflective season.
Held on the Friday before Christmas, this evening offers women a chance to step out of the holiday rush and gift themselves a few hours of stillness, connection, and renewal — a pause to refill before the week ahead.
Begin the evening with a short, grounding meditation to quiet the mind and open the heart. You will be invited to set a simple intention to carry with you into the new year.
Restorative Yoga and Sound
Led by Paul Wu, this meditative practice combines gentle postures, breathwork, and soft sound to help the body release tension and fully restore.
Expressive Arts Ritual: “Lanterns of Light”
Create a handcrafted lantern using natural materials as a reflection of your inner light. This simple, creative process becomes a ritual for renewal — a way to honor what you want to bring forward into the new year.
Closing Reflection with Cozy Snacks and Tea
We will gather to share a few words, light our lanterns, and enjoy warm drinks and small bites before ending the evening in stillness and connection.
The Winter Solstice reminds us that rest is not indulgent; it is essential.
Join us for an evening that blends mindfulness, movement, and creativity — and give yourself the pause you deserve.
